TUSCANY Wine Tours

We organize private wine tours only, with Mercedes car or van and a professional driver speaking english.

Chianti Wine Tour

From Siena, travelling along the Via Chiantigiana we reach Vagliagli and from this small medieval hamlet we descend in to a valley which is home to some of the region's most prestigious wine producers. A journey discovering the wineries of the Chianti, which introduces the visitor to both the area's age old wine producing traditions and the latest, most innovative vineyard technology.
Behind each and every twist in the road we are greeted by landscapes dotted with small chapels, castles, and medieval villages all of which more than worthy of visit.

Brunello Wine Tour

Montalcino is situated to the South of Siena. The town's strategic, hilltop position led to it becoming an important military fortification for Siena.
Today, Montalcino is known for the production of one of Italy's most important red wines. The Brunello di Montalcino is a DOCG (denomination of guaranteed and certified origin) wine, the first Italian wine to be awarded the status. It is considered, along with the Barolo, to be the Italian red wine of greatest longevity.
During the Brunello Tour we suggest a visit to the ancient abbey of Sant'Antimo, and the town of Pienza, built during the renaissance according to the wishes of Pope Pio II as 'ideal city'. Pienza is known for the production of an excellent Pecorino cheese.

Vernaccia Wine Tour

San Gimignano is a small, beautifully conserved medieval town to the North of Siena, characterised by its numerous towers. The town is situated on the top of a hill on the slopes of which the most famous of Tuscany's white wine is produced: the Vernaccia.
We suggest you combine a Vernaccia Tour with a visit to San Gimignano, Colle Val d'Elsa and Monteriggioni.
Those wishing to venture further in to this part of Tuscany, might like to head towards the Etruscan city of Volterra where to explore the town's many archaeological sites and the workshops where the local alabaster is carved.

NOBILE Wine Tour

The Nobile di Montepulciano is one of the oldest wines in Italy. The area around Montepulciano was already famous in the Etruscan period for its wine production. In 1685 the Nobile di Montepulciano was cited by the poet Francesco Redi who, as well as praising it in his work 'Bacchus of Tuscany' (Montepulciano is of every wine King!), wrote an ode to the Count Federico Veterani entirely dedicated to the qualities of this great wine.
A sommelier hosted wine tasting might be combined with a visit to Pienza and, on the return journey, to the Castle of Montefollonico and the Benedictine Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore.
